At Sasol, safety is a top priority. We work hard to see that our employees are safe
and that our community is not negatively affected by our operations. Our safety record is
a direct reflection of our work practices, employee training programs, strict regulations,
state-of-the-art technology, and effective communications. We are proud to receive safety
awards and recognition for our efforts, but the best award is to be accident-free. Thanks
to the support of our employees, we are working on projects that will make our safety
record even better.

- Louisiana chemical plants have lower rates of injuries and accidents than
similar job sites around the U.S.*
- Employees working in the chemical industry are less likely to get hurt
than those working in fields related to food, agriculture, retail trade, and mining.*
- Sasol has a nationally recognized Emergency Response Team (ERT),
specially trained in hazardous materials, confined space rescue, and medical care.
- Sasol works with area organizations, like the Mutual Aid
Association of Southwest Louisiana, to provide the necessary equipment, personnel and
response plans to respond to an emergency.
