Sasol North America Inc. is dedicated to making Southwest Louisiana a better
place to live and raise our children. Every year, the
company donates over $100,000 to local non-profit
organizations such as McNeese State University, United
Way, American Cancer Society, Crime Stoppers, the Black
Heritage Festival, the Lake Charles Symphony, the
Westlake Bird Sanctuary and many others. Sasol North America Inc.
employees also devote their own time to area projects.
Some of these activities include Partners in Education, a
tutoring program at local elementary schools; Christmas
in April, a home repair and rehabilitation project; and
YMCA Black Achievers program, a program providing role
models for junior and senior high school students,
encouraging them to seek a secondary education.
We also undertake projects to foster better communications
between our community and our company. Some of these
projects include multi-industry and plant specific
community advisory panels, quarterly newsletters to the
community, media campaigns, a speakers bureau, and tours
of the plant. If you are interested in learning more
